Responsibilities

• Engages in a collaborative process with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient care options and services.
• Provides quality nursing care to patients, assisting physicians and nurse practitioners in the clinical setting.
• Collaborates with the primary care provider and other members of the care team to support patients by providing routine care, patient education, and self-management support.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms, participates in team "huddles," prepares the EMR for clinic visits, and manages telephone encounters.
• Maintains cleanliness and stock of patient care areas, cleans and disinfects instruments, and assists with clinic tasks and supply management.
• Works with the Clinic Manager to create and implement new clinic processes, reviews required education courses, and maintains competency in clinical skills.

Requirements

• Current CPR/AED certification required or obtainable within 30 days
• 1+ years clinic experience or related experience in a medical setting as a medical assistant
• Proven knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA compliance
• Computer experience with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work flexible hours: Mondays - Thursdays from 8am to 5pm and Fridays, from 8am to 2:30pm

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
• EMR training or experience preferred

Pay and Benefits
