Job Details
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Tarpon Springs, FL 34689. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and strong customer service in all interactions
- Administer medications and immunizations under physician supervision following established protocols
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, ear irrigations, and other in-office treatments as directed
- Assist providers with minor surgical and office procedures, ensuring proper setup and patient support
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care as instructed
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately under provider direction
- Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients and coordinate follow-up visits
- Manage incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and triage concerns appropriately
- Handle laboratory responsibilities including specimen processing, documentation, and coordination with external lab services
Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent
- Current, Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration
- 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a Clinical/ Hospital/ Medical Office (Preferred, not required)
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish) (Preferred, not required)

Pay and Schedule
- Pay rate: $20-23/hr.
- On W2
- Schedule: Mon - Fri (5 days/ wk.) from 8 AM to 5 PM
