Medical Assistant
Job Details
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s healthcare facility in Shoreline, WA 98133. This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight).
- Record patient medical history, medications, and allergies in the EMR/EHR.
- Auxiliary physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed.
- Perform EKGs and other basic diagnostic tests.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, and process referrals.
- Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Answer patient calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- MA-C is required.
- Current, BLS Certification.

- Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm.
- Float: Yes, 1 - 2 times / week between Shoreline and Edmonds location.
Pay
- Pay rate: $27 - $29/hr.
