Responsibilities
- Works as part of the intake team to ensure prompt patient service.
- Observes urine samples for drug screens and packages for laboratory testing.
- Collects vital signs and reports findings to nurses.
- Administers blood samples for standard testing and packages them for laboratories.
- Communicates relevant patient information to leadership.
- Schedules appointments for patients with physicians, counselors, and case managers.
- Maintains security by following procedures and maintaining logs.
- Coordinates appointments and manages accounts receivable/accounts payable/deposits.
- Maintains and updates medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) and lab software.
- Runs the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) for all patients and records patient information in the Central Registry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current medical assistant certificate or emergency medical technician certificate from an accredited teaching school.
- Experience as a medical assistant.
- Maintain continuing education credits as required by the state.
- Ability to administer medications.
- Preferred: Graduation from a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Current certification from the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or the National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), or any recognized certifying body approved by the Board.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant).
- Two (2) years’ experience or knowledge in the field of behavioral health recommended.
- Experience performing blood draws.
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Certification.

Pay
$17.50 per hour to $19.50 per hour
