Medical Assistant
About the Role
Join Orchid Health, an organization founded over 10 years ago with the belief that integrated patient-centered care—built on trusting relationships—is the most effective way to improve community health. We currently serve thousands of patients at our Oregon clinic locations, supported by a talented, passionate, and dedicated team. Our mission is to advance a new model for community health based on relationships, joy in work, and health equity, guided by four pillars and core values:
- Core Values: Challenge the Status Quo, Cultivate Respect, Courageously Vulnerable and Accountable
- Four Pillars (in order of priority):
- Employee Well-Being
- Trusting Patient Relationships
- Community Health
- Financial Sustainability
At Orchid Health, we embrace self-management, where teams collaborate to make day-to-day decisions without top-down direction. Team members take on shared responsibilities based on their strengths, hold each other accountable, and are supported by peers, coaches, and clear, timely information. This structure reduces bureaucracy, fosters collaboration, and makes work more meaningful. We believe those doing the work are best positioned to lead it, and our organization reflects that philosophy.
Orchid’s team members have opportunities to expand professional skills in a supportive environment, participate in community outreach, and enjoy a robust benefits package. The McKenzie River Clinic is located in Blue River, Oregon, on Highway 126, east of Eugene/Springfield—a charming community nestled at the confluence of the Blue and McKenzie rivers in the Willamette National Forest.
