Gastroenterology Health Partners is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. Located at 1941 Bishop Lane, Louisville, KY, with occasional travel to Shepardsville, KY, this position offers a supportive and inclusive environment where you can grow your career.
Responsibilities
- Measure vital signs, document in patient's chart
- Collect specimens for laboratory analysis
- Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients
- Absorb and assist physicians during office visits
- Manage patient prescriptions and referrals
- Answer patient questions and notify of test results
- Schedule office visits, procedures, and appointments
- Assist in emergencies as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Ability to travel to satellite locations occasionally
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience as a Medical Assistant. BLS certification is required, and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology is essential. Experience in a medical office environment is preferred.
Skills
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are crucial. Proficiency in medical software and excellent organizational skills are also beneficial.
