Medical Assistant

About the role

We're currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinic at 75 Sylvania Drive, Beavercreek, OH. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule—no nights, weekends, or holidays—so you can plan your life with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits. Must be able to assist physician in an emergency.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions.
• Notify patients of test results.
• Assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x-rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions and appointments as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
