About the role
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Digestive Disease Consultants. Our clinic is located at 1299 Industrial Parkway, Brunswick, OH.
Responsibilities
- Measure vital signs, document all information in patient's chart
- Collect specimens for laboratory analysis
- Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients
- Absorb and assist with office visits
- Manage patient prescriptions and referrals
- Answer patient questions
- Notify patients of test results
- Review procedure reports
- Escort patients to exam rooms and throughout the office
- Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines
- Prepare examination rooms
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications
- Perform phlebotomy
- Absorb and assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x-rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions, and appointments
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Experience working in a medical office environment preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Open to travel to the Broadview Heights/Medina Office location

Schedule
Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30am to 4:30pm.
