Job Type Full-time Description POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for assisting physicians with basic patient care and providing unparallel customer service to patients while adhering to established protocols, processes and volume without ever compromising quality. Essential Functions Basic rooming, along with creating surgery orders & x-ray ordersPhreesia/MIPS InputMaintain supplies, equipment, prepare and clean exam/procedure rooms, stocking and sterilizing instruments ensuring patient rooms are stocked, cleaned, and presentableAssist physician as needed during minor in office procedureEnsure all initial consultations, pertinent notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are entered in the patient’s file and available to the physician prior to patient arrivalProvide patient education with regards to office policies, medications, management of pain/injury/disease, home treatments and special diets using appropriate medical terminology as directed by the physicianEnsure all consent forms are completed, signed and filedRespond to patient / physician / pharmacy calls calls/messages and assist with their needsAssist phone room with rescheduling patientsOSHA sign off lists Required Qualifications And Skills Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Minimum of 1 years working as a medical assistant preferredStrong focus on patient quality and customer serviceExcellent follow through to see tasks to completionStrong and clear written and verbal communication skillsPossesses a high degree of self-motivation and produces high quality work with minimal supervision Desired Qualifications And Skills Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Experience with Allscripts Pay & Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceGenerous PTO package and paid holidaysCompany-paid life insurance and long term disability insuranceAbility to purchase accident insurance, short and long-term disability insurance.Opportunities for internal training and developmentRetirement Plan eligibility after one month of service with eligibility in company profit sharingMost positions offer Monday – Friday work schedules Working Conditions Typical business office environmentPossibility of local travelConstant viewing of computer monitor, mousing and typingFrequent standing, walking and sittingFrequent stooping, lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling 10 pounds or moreOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusHours of business are Monday – Friday.
