As a Medical Assistant, you will work Mon‑Fri, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. in 5/8.5‑hour shifts, supporting patient care across our locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
• Record patients' vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
• Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.
• Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.
• Perform EKGs and point‑of‑care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Proficiency with an EMR system (preferred).
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, stand, bend, and reach while working at a desk/computer.
• Knowledge of standard precautions and ability to use appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs.
• Ability to float to Brooklyn and Staten Island urology locations as needed.

Pay

Starting salary: $23 per hour.
