As a Medical Assistant at North Alabama Medical Center, you will utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes specialized plan-of-care intervention and serves as a patient-care innovator.
• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of physician or nurse.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate of accredited medical assistance program, or 6 months of related experience.
• Licenses: CCMA, CMA, or RMA preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
