Medical Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant specializing in Orthopedics to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will prepare for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, provide routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, assist with keeping track of tests and lab reporting, help manage the inventory of medical supplies, set up machines and testing equipment, and clean instruments and rooms as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
- Clean instruments and equipment after use
- Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
- Auxiliary support for nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures
- Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties
Qualifications
- BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
Compensation
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Next Generation Orthopedic and Spine Institute (NXGOSI) is an orthopedic practice established in 2014 by Dr. Anthony Owusu, who has performed hundreds of spinal procedures and published and presented industry-leading research in spine surgery. In 2022, Dr. James Carson, a highly sought-after orthopedic surgeon, joined the practice, greatly expanding the range of services offered to patients. Our services focus on treating pain associated with the back, neck, hips, knees, shoulders, and other areas, including bones, joints, ligaments, nerves, and tendons. We offer in-house injections, referrals for conservative care, and surgeries. Our team is currently adding physical therapy to our services.
