Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs (blood pressure and pulse)
• Prepares claimant for examination (Electrocardiogram testing/Pulmonary Function Testing)
• Draws blood for lab tests
• Performs Pulmonary Function Testing
• Performs Electrocardiogram – uploading for official reading
• Calibrates equipment (Pulmonary Function machine – daily, AED – monthly)
• Chaperones claimant during an examination
• Checks-in/Check-out claimants
• Orders entry for diagnostic testing (labs/sleep study/X-rays/PFTs)
• Reviews medical records
• Answers phone calls and greets claimants
• Maintains clinic flow
• Maintains medical supplies (order as inventory is low and remove expiring/expired items)

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with claimants effectively
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate claimant record’s review
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency with computer systems for electronic medical records (EMR)
• Able to follow established medical protocols and safety guidelines
• Up-to-date BLS certification

Pay

$24.46 + $5.09 H&W/hour
