Position Summary
Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. Reports to the Director of Physician Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Patient Populations Served
Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
Exposure
Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Not Responsible for supervising employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience required for the job.
- Certifications: BCLS upon completion of hospital orientation, Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Knowledge: Business Mathematical Skills, Foundational Computer Skills, Foundational Communication, Foundational Judgement, Foundational Planning/Organization, Job Specific Impact, Physical And Mental Demands, Work Environment And Travel Requirements.

Additional Information
Exhibit a basic understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practice.
