Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in exams and minor surgical procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under physician supervision
- Perform diagnostic tests and collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Prior experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed
