About the role
Full‑time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) position located at the Mid Valley Urgent Care Clinic in Mercedes, TX, affiliated with Knapp Medical Group. The role supports both clinical and administrative tasks — taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, coordinating appointments — under physician and nurse supervision in a fast‑paced environment, helping deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks
- Handle appointment scheduling and chart management
- Provide information to patients so they can fully utilize and benefit from clinic services
- Convey a positive image of the organization
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience) – required for new hires effective April 2014
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and must maintain it
- Minimum one year of work experience in a public‑contact job
- Health‑care work experience preferred
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM; every other weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
