Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will take vital signs, assist the provider with interview and care processes, treatments, delivery and transport of each patient, as directed by the physician. They will also answer phones, obtain prior insurance authorizations, perform patient reminder calls, and enter information into the EMR. The Medical Assistant is cross-trained in all clinical administrative processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degrees strongly preferred in the areas related to Healthcare.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive.
- Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none.
- Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
