About the role

The Medical Assistant I at Honor Community Health (HCH) is an essential part of our high-performing healthcare team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Lead Medical Assistant, Practice Manager, or Director of Health Center Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care while assisting clinicians in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered medical care.
  • Complete general office duties and patient records.
  • Monitor various clinical processes.
  • Prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships both within HCH's centers and with the administrative team.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program.
  • May also have LPN, EMT, ER Tech, paramedic certification and relevant experience.
  • May consider a nursing student from an accredited registered or licensed practice nurse program after a clinical course of study has begun.
  • Maintain BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Must have 3+ months in a similar clinical position.
  • Strong computer skills and experience using Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred) and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A compassionate and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create an excellent patient experience.
  • A patient-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to work between other locations when needed.

Qualifications
