About the role
The Medical Assistant I at Honor Community Health (HCH) is an essential part of our high-performing healthcare team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Lead Medical Assistant, Practice Manager, or Director of Health Center Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care while assisting clinicians in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered medical care.
- Complete general office duties and patient records.
- Monitor various clinical processes.
- Prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships both within HCH's centers and with the administrative team.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program.
- May also have LPN, EMT, ER Tech, paramedic certification and relevant experience.
- May consider a nursing student from an accredited registered or licensed practice nurse program after a clinical course of study has begun.
- Maintain BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Must have 3+ months in a similar clinical position.
- Strong computer skills and experience using Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred) and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- Willingness to work between other locations when needed.
Qualifications
