Medical Assistant Summary
Under the general direction of the Medical Floor Manager, the Medical Assistant will perform a wide variety of patient care activities including patient assessment, treatment, and general patient care for the patients’ visit. The Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining pertinent information and reason for the visit; perform pulse, temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and BMI on all routine clinic visits; and retrieve labs, hospital records, and tests for the provider.
Schedule
Mon 7:30-4pm, Tues 7:30-2pm, Wed 7:30-6pm, Thurs 9:30-6pm, Fri 7:30-4pm
Rotating Saturdays 9-1pm
Pay
$21.00 – $25.00 per hour*
- 3.2 weeks of paid time off (PTO)

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and the successful completion of a Medical Assistant program and externship are required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate within 90 days of hire required (i.e. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA))
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
- Bilingual skills (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
- Must submit a CORI release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
- Maintain current certification in CPR/BLS.
