Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers in patient examinations and treatments. Key Responsibilities Include Welcoming patients, preparing exam rooms, and obtaining medical histories.Documenting vital signs and updating electronic medical records accurately.Assisting providers during exams, performing point-of-care tests, and maintaining supplies.Ensuring cleanliness and disinfecting treatment areas, following safety standards.Providing excellent patient service with a respectful and attentive approach.Supporting pre-visit planning, managing logs, and addressing messages within the EMR system.Back-up support for front office duties such as check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling.Following HIPAA guidelines and maintaining professional vendor relationships. Qualifications Include High School Diploma or GED required.Graduation from an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT).Relevant certifications, with CMA preferred.Strong computer skills and EMR experience preferred.Current BLS certification.1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics is advantageous. Skills And Attributes Ability to complete tasks independently and collaboratively.Effective communication, active listening, and empathy.Attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical records. Work environment and physical demands: Standing, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifts. Visual acuity for close and distance focus. Compensation offered: $21 - $27 per hour, along with benefits such as health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, FSA, 401(k), and paid time off.
