Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office.
- Perform phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office; ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
- Valid Florida driver’s license for travel to clinics.
- High school diploma or GED (must be produced at time of hire).
- BLS certification required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide the BLS course within the first 30 days).
Screenings
All offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening, including drug and nicotine testing. FCS requires all new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption. Medical marijuana cards are not recognized.
