Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff with patient care
• Maintain patient flow
• Obtain and document patient vitals
• Document current medications, chief complaint
• Perform technical laboratory functions including phlebotomy
• Monitor/track/charge medical equipment
• Schedule procedures and tests

Requirements

• High school graduate
• Certified Medical Assistant required
• Experience in a medical office preferred
• Ability to function as a Medical Scribe as needed
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of point of care testing, vital signs, and clinical aspects of the office
• Understanding of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives
• Basic knowledge of medical assisting principles, infection control, environmental safety, patient confidentiality, and medical chart reporting/records
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
