About the role
The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center is a large, growing organization providing healthcare services in Worcester and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Participates in office visit planning and reviews electronic health records (EHR) before sessions
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Performs point-of-care tests, clinical procedures, and assessments
- Prepares patients for examinations and treatments
- Aids in the collection, processing, and tracking of patient forms
- Collaborates with providers and the nurse manager to manage patient data
- Maintains compliance with regulations and participates in training and quality improvement initiatives
- May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- CPR certification
