A dedicated Medical Assistant is sought to support the healthcare team in a 38 bed withdrawal management unit. The role involves both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure high-quality care for patients undergoing withdrawal.
- Welcome and prepare patients for their treatment
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures specific to withdrawal management
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately
- Conduct basic procedures as needed for patients in withdrawal
- Update and maintain patient medical records with attention to detail
- Cook up and coordinate patient appointments
- Address inquiries efficiently
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the unit
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations applicable to withdrawal management units
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is advantageous. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures relevant to withdrawal management is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment is required.
