Overview

Nova Medical Services is expanding into a new sector, providing top-tier care across various points of service (POS). We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant who thrives in dynamic environments, has strong organizational skills, and is proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

- Assist in delivering high-quality care across different specialties, including internal medicine, geriatrics, and more. - Taking and recording patient vitals. - Preparing patients for examinations and treatments. - Administering injections, immunizations, or medications as directed by providers. - Collecting and processing lab specimens. - Performing basic diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, spirometry) when needed. - Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system. - Manage patient records and assist with scheduling follow-ups and referrals. - Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring equipment and supplies are stocked at each site. - Adapt to the unique needs of each POS and specialty rotation. - Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population. - Adhere to all Nova Medical Services policies, procedures, and safety protocols. - Must be proficient in phlebotomy and able to perform blood draws accurately and safely.

Qualifications

- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred but not required. - Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required). - Proven ability to work in diverse healthcare settings (clinics, ALFs, nursing homes). - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Proficiency with computers and EMR systems (experience with is a plus). - Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task. - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work with various providers and patient demographics.

Other Requirements

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. - Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and specialty rotations.
