Responsibilities
- Print lab reports
- Complete summaries of treatment sessions
- Chart provider's appointments
- Complete referrals
- Operate electronic health records
- Complete incoming referrals
- Document patients’ visits by taking notes and entering them in the electronic health records system
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentation
- Cook with providers to complete and submit medical records
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and healthcare staff
- Complete administrative tasks as requested
Qualifications
- A high school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Previous experience as a dermatology medical assistant or in a similar position preferred
- Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation
- Strong computer and transcription skills
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
