About the role

The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical tasks such as documenting patient symptoms in EMR, taking and recording vital signs, administering injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens and drawing blood, sterilizing equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Use your skills to make an impact by successfully completing a medical assistant school/training program or obtaining a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant certification, or having 5+ years of experience and approval from a provider.
  • Have phlebotomy experience, medication/vaccine administration experience, and CPR certification.
  • This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Prioritize value-based care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration).
  • PREFERRED: Bilingual in English and Spanish OR English and Creole.

  • Phlebotomy experience

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00
