Medical Assistant
About the role
The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties including discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
Location
You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at Conviva Jourdanton located at: 1105 Oak St, Suite A, Jourdanton, TX 78026.
Requirements
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
- 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certified
Preferred
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- 1+ years MA experience
- Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish

Pay
The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$43,000 - $56,200 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
