Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. They perform both administrative tasks and patient care duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Documenting patient symptoms in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Administering injections
- Performing diagnostic tests
- Collecting specimens and drawing blood
- Maintaining examination rooms
- Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant school/training program or certification as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
- At least 5 years of experience, or approval from the provider
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with phlebotomy, medication/vaccine administration, and CPR
- Participation in the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program
Prioritizing patient care, this role is patient-facing and part of the company's value-based care initiative. Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina candidates require certification or registration)
- Experience with Value-Based Care, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Onsite in Cutler Bay, Florida
Compensation Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
