Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. They perform a variety of activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Duties include performing computations, taking and recording vital signs, administering injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens and drawing blood, sterilizing equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and other tasks as assigned.
About the role
- Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care.
- Performs clinical tasks such as documenting patient symptoms in EMR, taking and recording vital signs, administering injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens and drawing blood, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining examination rooms.
- Maintains a patient-facing role and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
- If selected, required to screen for TB.
Requirements
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- CPR Certified.
- Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
- Experience with TB screening preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Ability to perform computations and other tasks.

Pay and Schedule
- $43,000 - $56,200 per year.
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00.
- Location: 875 Military Trail, Suite 200, 210 Jupiter, FL 33458.
