Medical Assistant
About the role
The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. They perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments, as well as clinical duties such as discussing symptoms, gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms.
Responsibilities
- Discussing symptoms and gathering information for patient care

- Collecting specimens, drawing blood, and sterilizing/cleaning equipment
- Maintaining examination rooms
- Collaborating with Physicians and Nurses
- Delivering direct patient care dependent on active certification
Requirements
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
- 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certification
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- 1+ years MA experience
- Value-Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Qualifications

- 1+ years MA experience
- Value-Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

$43,000 - $56,200 per year
