About the role
Connecticut Orthopaedics is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our exceptional care team in our Orange, Milford, and Shelton offices. The hours vary between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Play a lead role in the administrative responsibilities of a physician team
- Connect with patients, handling scheduling, insurance coordination, and other key aspects of the care process and patient experience
- Coordinate with physicians, clinical MAs, surgical centers, X-ray staff, and other team members
- Utilize and grow EMR skills by documenting patient information, reviewing and distributing test results, and executing necessary pre-op documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Experience working with an EMR (EPIC preferred)
- Two or more years of medical assistant experience
Skills
- Surgical scheduling preferred
- Knowledge of EMR systems
- Positive attitude and friendly, courteous demeanor
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements
