Medical Assistant

About the role

Join our team as a full-time Medical Assistant in our Trumbull, Milford, and Hamden offices. You will play an integral role in the largest private orthopaedic practice in New England, contributing to exceptional patient care while enjoying a competitive salary, excellent work-life balance, and career growth opportunities. Hours vary between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Play a lead role in the administrative responsibilities of a physician team
• Connect with patients by handling scheduling, insurance coordination, and other key aspects of the care process and patient experience
• Coordinate with physicians, clinical MAs, surgical centers, X-ray staff, and other team members
• Utilize and grow EMR skills by documenting patient information, reviewing and distributing test results, and executing necessary pre-op documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Two or more years of medical assistant experience
• Experience working with an EMR (EPIC preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements
• Positive attitude and friendly, courteous demeanor

Preferred Skills

• Surgical scheduling experience
