Responsibilities

• Play a lead role in the administrative responsibilities of a physician team
• Connect with the patient from scheduling to insurance coordination and more, playing a key role in the care process and patient experience
• Practice communication and planning skills by coordinating with physicians, clinical MAs, surgical centers, X-ray staff, etc.
• Utilize and grow EMR skills by documenting patient information, reviewing and distributing test results, and executing necessary pre-op documentation

Requirements

• Surgical scheduling preferred
• A knowledge of EMR systems (EPIC Preferred)
• Two (2) or more years of medical assistant experience

Qualifications

• A high school diploma
• A positive attitude and friendly, courteous demeanor
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements

Skills

• Preferred: Surgical scheduling
• Knowledge of EMR systems (EPIC Preferred)
