Medical Assistant

Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform specialized eye exam testing while streamlining patient flow.
• Conduct other diagnostic tests such as: Visual Aids, OCT, Corneal topography, etc...
• Provide phone support for prescription refill requests as authorized by the physician.
• Educate patients on medication administration and pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by the physician.
• Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA guidelines, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• One-year experience in a customer-facing position preferred.
• Medical-related experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Proficient in using the internet.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
• Sometimes lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required.
