Medical Assistant
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $24.90 - $32.41 per hour. The actual rate will be determined based on factors such as employee-specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role.
Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician and nurse in the Clinic setting. This includes performing routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization or eligible to sit for exam within 30 days of hire (acceptable certifications: CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, AAMA ABROE)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Knowledge of medical terminology
