Coastal Health is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our Spine & Pain team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and works well in a fast-paced clinical environment. Location: Jacksonville, FL • Department: Spine & Pain • Position Type: Full-Time.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical histories.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Assist with patient intake, rooming, and discharge procedures.
• Assist providers with clinical tasks and patient care needs.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Support patient care coordination and follow-up.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and clinical policies.
• Provide compassionate and professional patient service.
• Work collaboratively with providers and office staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred, based on position requirements.
• Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
• Professional, dependable, and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
