Responsibilities

• Partner with Providers before, during, and after visits to support patient care.
• Be the friendly, trusted face members rely on during visits, helping with translation, gathering information, taking vitals, and answering questions.
• Perform phlebotomy and other essential medical tasks as directed by the Provider.
• Close care gaps, review consent forms, and keep documentation accurate.
• Collapse through electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Collapse medical supplies and ensure smooth, well-prepared visits.
• Coordinate outreach efforts to schedule visits and strengthen patient engagement.
• Drive independently or with the provider to patient visits.

Requirements

• Hold a Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• Have at least 1 year of healthcare experience (home-based care a plus).
• Have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Be fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Have basic computer proficiency; comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Able to walk up 3 flights of stairs and carry up to 40 lbs. of equipment.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base hourly rate for this role is (per hour): $23—$25 USD.

Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, field-based role. You must live in or near Hudson County, New Jersey as the position involves driving to and conducting member visits in their homes.
