About the role
Cleaver Dermatology & Aesthetics is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join their growing Clinical Research Department. This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys patient interaction, has excellent clinical skills, and is interested in supporting innovative dermatology research.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare research participants for study visits.
- Record and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight.
- Absorb and document clinical procedures and research visits.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other basic clinical procedures within scope of training.
- Collect, process, label, and prepare blood, urine, and other specimens according to study protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with study records.
- Organize, stock, and maintain research supplies and exam rooms.
- Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and company policies.
- Provide compassionate, professional care while maintaining participant confidentiality.
- Absorb and document additional research and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
- Strong phlebotomy skills are required.
- Experience performing EKGs preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Reliable transportation to travel between our Dawsonville and Cumming offices.
Schedule & Benefits
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
