Medical Assistant
Join our dedicated outpatient team at the Chesapeake clinic, where patient-centered care is our top priority. In this role, you will report directly to the Center Administrator and play an important part in delivering high-quality clinical support to our patients.

Responsibilities
- Obtain patient histories, discuss symptoms, and record vital signs
- Administer medications and vaccines following protocols
- Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
- Prepare and maintain clean, sterile examination and equipment
- Document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) school/training program and certification/registration as a Medical Assistant, or 3+ years of experience with approval from the Provider
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Meet patient-facing role requirements, including participation in our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Medication/vaccine administration experience (preferred)
- At least 1 year of MA experience (preferred)
- Value-Based Care experience, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience (preferred)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication (preferred)
Schedule
Onsite, full-time, 40 hours per week.
Pay
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may vary based on geographic location and individual pay will depend on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
$43,000 - $56,200 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
