Monday thru Friday 8am - 500pm
Essential Functions of the Role
- Support doctors by providing patient care and performing delegated medical tasks.
- Maintain records and administer medication and injections.
- Record vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Help patients to the exam room and get them ready.
- Collect data from patients for medical history.
- Monitor vital signs and conduct patient assessments.
- Process electrocardiograms and collect blood and urine samples during testing.
Key Success Factors
- Accurately document patient details in line with organizational guidelines.
- Understand and comply with patient privacy and confidentiality rules (HIPAA regulations).
- Identify and report any signs of physical distress to healthcare staff.
- Have a good grasp of medical terminology.
- Enhance patient comfort and ease through approachable and friendly interactions.
- Follow instructions from medical professionals.
- Know how to handle medical records.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
- (BLS) Basic Life Support certification is preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified.
