Monday thru Friday 8am - 500pm

Essential Functions of the Role

• Support doctors by providing patient care and performing delegated medical tasks.
• Maintain records and administer medication and injections.
• Record vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Help patients to the exam room and get them ready.
• Collect data from patients for medical history.
• Monitor vital signs and conduct patient assessments.
• Process electrocardiograms and collect blood and urine samples during testing.

Key Success Factors

• Accurately document patient details in line with organizational guidelines.
• Understand and comply with patient privacy and confidentiality rules (HIPAA regulations).
• Identify and report any signs of physical distress to healthcare staff.
• Have a good grasp of medical terminology.
• Enhance patient comfort and ease through approachable and friendly interactions.
• Follow instructions from medical professionals.
• Know how to handle medical records.
• Have a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
• (BLS) Basic Life Support certification is preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified.
