Medical Assistant

About the role

Avance Care is one of North Carolina’s largest independent primary care networks, operating 35 practice locations across the Triangle Area, the Charlotte Region, and Wilmington. As a Medical Assistant you will work closely with providers to deliver high‑quality, compassionate patient care in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute medications as ordered by the provider.

Requirements

• One of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT.
• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.

Schedule

Full‑time role with 12‑hour weekday shifts and a rotating weekend schedule.
