Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit
• Ability to obtain vital signs, skillfully administer injections, and perform blood drawing
• Absorb and assist in minor surgeries and procedures
• Manage administrative duties including handling phone calls and greeting patients
• Support medical staff by performing routine clinical tasks
• Communicate with insurance companies for verification
• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth work and patient flow
• Ensure familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
• Keep instruments and equipment clean after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures
• Track lab results and handle basic medical office duties

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant License
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
