About the Role

The Medical Assistant manages medication refills, completes vital signs, and provides coverage in the TMS program. They support medication prescribers with day-to-day operations while maintaining a supportive and compassionate treatment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medication refill line and triage medication issues
  • Support prior authorizations and Genomind ordering
  • Obtain and monitor vital signs, reporting changes in patient symptoms or behavior
  • Coordinate care with medication prescribers and other team members
  • Ensure all client information is handled as sensitive and confidential
  • Maintain and order necessary supplies
  • Assist and cover for other staff to maintain departmental productivity and efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental success

Working Conditions

  • Air-conditioned and well-lit office environment, with occasional outdoor responsibilities
  • Constant interaction with others, which may be interruptive
  • Flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings to accommodate client needs
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs for office supplies or event materials
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking
  • Participation in training, orientations, or compliance programs as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting
  • Certificate as a CCMA or RMA
  • Current CPR certification (highly desirable)
  • Narcan certification (highly desirable)
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record software
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work independently with flexibility
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with sustained energy and initiative
  • Comfort working with a diverse base of individuals, including patients, providers, and community partners
