Medical Assistant
Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant for its Butler, PA medical office.
About the role
A day in the life of a Medical Assistant at Adagio Health is dynamic and rewarding. You'll start by welcoming patients at the front desk, excelling in phone triage, scheduling appointments, and creating a positive first impression. You'll be at the forefront of patient care, taking vitals, gathering patient histories, and performing venipuncture and injections. Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to assist with procedures, ensuring top-notch patient care. Your role extends beyond the clinic as you facilitate referrals within and outside the organization. At the end of the day, you'll ensure a seamless patient check-out process. We offer a $500 incentive, paid in two intervals over 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients at the front desk and manage phone triage
- Schedule appointments and create a positive first impression
- Take patient vitals and gather medical histories
- Perform venipuncture and injections
- Assist Nurse Practitioners with procedures
- Facilitate referrals within and outside the organization
- Ensure seamless patient check-out process
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or equivalent hospital program or a minimum of one year of direct patient care experience
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities
- Local travel required
