Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform follow-ups with patients and update their records.
• Enter patient data accurately into the electronic medical record system.
• Answer inbound phone calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Order laboratory tests and relay lab results to appropriate parties.
• Schedule follow-up appointments efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience with medical records and electronic health records.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling and patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to provide clinical support.
• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication skills for taking calls and interacting with patients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in Medical Assisting.
• A Medical Assisting diploma or certification is preferred but not required.
• A High School Diploma.
• RMA certification and experience in front desk operations.
• BLS certification and familiarity with insurance processes.

Work Environment

• This position is based onsite at a clinic and operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clermont, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
