Responsibilities
- Ask questions to collect background stories and leave notes for providers
- Review health summaries with patients and ensure accuracy
- Take patient vitals and record them
- Close the loop and handle follow-ups according to clinical processes
- Confirm patients' current pharmacy preferences and update in Experity
- Process Rx orders and lab/imaging orders
- Document every interaction appropriately and promptly
- Assist in managing patient flow and supporting in-clinic providers
- Leverage providers to review labs and deliver results to patients
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the clinic
- Perform difficult blood draws with confidence
- Follow the system for lab review as established by the Medical Director
- Ensure all labs are closed out daily
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited school/program
- Excellent customer service skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of multi-line phone systems
- Proficiency in computers and relevant software applications
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices
- Demonstrated initiative and strong organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and accept direction
- Confidence with blood draws
- Previous experience performing COVID testing
