Medical Assistant Apprentice

About the role

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician-owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are excited to announce our new Medical Assistant Apprentice Program (MAAP).

Responsibilities

• Work full-time as a Medical Assistant Apprentice while completing the training program in up to six months.
• Complete 156 hours of on-line classes with a minimum score of 70% within the designated timeframe of 6 months from enrolling in the program.
• Complete 1000 hours of on-the-job training within 6 months.
• Participate in on-site administrative and clinical training through the use of training materials, including textbooks, policies and procedures, etc.
• Accept feedback from administrative leaders, mentors, and coaches.
• Obtain a PPC recognized Medical Assistant credential at program completion (within 6 months from enrollment).

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must enter the program with the commitment of working as a Medical Assistant for two years upon receiving the certification.
