About the role
We are seeking a tech-savvy Medical Assistant with a strong specialty practice background to join our Partner Success Operations team at Basata. This is a high-ownership, on-the-ground role where you will be responsible for workflow documentation, implementation support, ongoing clinic workflow support, and BPO coordination.
Responsibilities
- Workflow Documentation & Maintenance
- Build and own clinic-specific workflow documentation for assigned accounts
- Keep documentation current as workflows evolve post-go-live
- Translate messy, verbal clinic knowledge into clean, auditable process maps
- Implementation Support
- Partner with the Partner Integration team for go-live readiness checklists
- Coordinate EMR access and staff training
- Surface blockers before they become delays
- Support go-live gate sign-off
- Ongoing Clinic Workflow Support
- Own the day-to-day operational health of assigned clinic accounts
- Monitor for workflow drift
- Flag escalation-worthy issues before they surface in a review
- Support the Growth Partner team with account-level operational context
- BPO Coordination for Assigned Accounts
- Ensure BPO agents have the necessary protocols, scripts, and escalation instructions
- Maintain documentation for repeatable onboarding
- Review BPO work product for accuracy and address quality gaps
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare support role, preferably in a specialty practice setting
- Strong working knowledge of front-desk and back-office operations
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Comfortable working alongside AI tools and BPO support teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Qualifications
- Experience with NextGen, AthenaOne/Athena Practice, ModMed, or similar platforms is a plus
- Ability to translate verbal clinic knowledge into clean, auditable process maps
- Comfortable navigating change management conversations
