About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare providers, ensuring the delivery of excellent care to our patients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Facility Engagement
- Act as a community liaison between key stakeholders (nursing, sales, wellness, and leadership)
- Be attentive to the facility's needs and communicate back to the team
- Patient Engagement
- Care between (specialists, therapy, home health, and other ancillary services)
- Afford front desk duties, including appointment management, scheduling, and other related duties
- Monthly outreach with residents/families to assess needs and coordinate care consistent with the provider’s care plan
- Connect patients with local/regional social support services
- Clinical Functions
- Greet each patient, family member, and staff member with a smile
- Take vital signs, room patients (if in a clinic), and help prepare them for their visit
- Coordinate after-visit coordination
- Complete all diagnostic testing
- Manage and complete all quality assurance monitoring
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Outgoing individual who loves interacting with people
- Organized and effective communicator
- Experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting, preferably in a geriatric or senior care environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and be a part of something great
